Following the Christchurch earthquakes of 2010/11, the College House Chapel was deemed earthquake-prone and in need of substantial strengthening, repair, and remedial work, despite no visible damage. The project included strengthening the chapel to 67% NBS, constructing a new link bridge to the adjacent Study Centre, refurbishing the chapel, and modifying the kitchen in the Study Centre.
